Blower Enclosure 25dB Rw- Liverpool

A blower was running at a level of 105dB (A) in an external space for a plastics manufacturing company in Liverpool. AGS proposed a blower enclosure that would reduce noise levels to below 80dB (A). One of many examples of AGS helping companies with environmental noise control.

4-sides of 100mm panels formed a ‘box-like’ structure. With some of our lighter panels complete with centre fasteners acted as side panels. The final colour was selected to the client’s preference.

Maintenance and access

To allow full access to the blower, the side panels needed to be removable. AGS therefore installed an internal structure to support the roof panel while the wall panels were removed. Handles were fitted for easy lifting, and durable hatches and centre fastener sets were added to secure the side enclosures when not in use.

The roof panel to the blower enclosure included an air inlet attenuator allowing the required fresh air into the space. The attenuator was also fitted with a rain cover.

Installation

Installed by our directly employed site engineers the project was completed without a hitch. Pipework was fitted around using suitable split plates to maintain the acoustic integrity of the enclosure. Steel framework was bolted into the ground and attached to the fixed roof panels whilst the covers and side panels were removable.

This relatively small enclosure demonstrates AGS’ ability to manufacture and deliver bespoke sound control solutions of any size with specialist access required.
