Industrial Control Room – Leeds

In late 2025, AGS Noise Control delivered an industrial control room in the middle of an industrial factory for a major manufacturer in the construction industry. The intention was to reduce the Daily Noise Exposure limit for the control panel operator to below 75dB (A).

AGS Noise Control had previously constructed a similar noise haven at another of the client’s sites and were instructed to largely mirror the results of the first project.

This is one example of AGS being a leading industrial noise control manufacturer and helping mitigation sound levels to meet Noise at Work requirements.

Construction

The operator noise haven comprised of 4 sides and a roof, essentially forming an acoustic enclosure surrounding the control panel and operator. Totally about 10sqm of floorspace within the room.

2 elevations and the roof comprised our standard solid acoustic panels, powder coated to RAL 9010 (white). The remaining 2no. elevations were formed from vision panels, spanning the full height of the room, with a vertical mullion installed between each acoustic vision panel.

Access to the room was via a single leaf, acoustic hinged door set. Completed with acoustic seals, powder coated acoustic leaf and frame. As well as vision panel formed from safety glass within the door.

A wall mounted air conditioning unit provided airflow into the space with the external condenser mounted on an existing platform adjacent to the control room.

The electrical scope included

• Surface mounted LED lighting wired to a single switch in white PVC conduit.
• Emergency Lighting.
• Floor Level metal dado to the 2no glazed elevations with 5no 2 gang sockets.
• Supply for air conditioning unit.

Installed by our directly employed site installation engineers who have decades of experience working with the panelling system and vision panels. Through the use of the client’s forklift and site welfare sites the installation ran smoothly and the finished industrial control room achieved the original aim of the project.
