The Problem
In order to undertake pre-delivery noise tests of the electrical transformers manufactured by BRUSH
Transformers in Loughborough, a low ambient noise level was required. This was very difficult to achieve in a work shop area with a rail line directly behind. As more tests were required to be witnessed by clients it was decided a dedicated test facility was required.

The Solution

A dedicated test facility measuring 18m X 14m X 8m high was constructed by AGS Noise Control using our heavy gauge acoustic panel system. The test facility included a lattice beam structure to achieve a clear span within the test area. In addition the test facility also included a 5m wide full height sliding door. This enables transformers to be brought into the test area by bespoke air skates. Two control rooms and a visitor observation area were also constructed as part of the package.
