New Music Rooms
Bangor University required new music rooms to provide additional space whilst the main University Music Department is redeveloped. Our music practice rooms gave them the flexibility to remove and relocate the rooms at a later date, as well as reducing noise levels by 35 – 37dB between the music practice rooms and adjacent corridor areas.

The Solution
AGS Noise Control supplied and installed 6no modular music practice rooms within existing rooms. The rooms included their own quiet ventilation systems, timber acoustic doors and isolating floating floors with carpet finishes. The rooms were installed to enable future removal without requiring substantial remedial works to the building.
The Result
Post installation tests by an independent acoustic consultant demonstrated the booths each achieved a 35 – 37dB reduction in noise levels between the music practice rooms and adjacent corridor areas.
