Temporary Acoustic Screen

Installation of a temporary acoustic screen for London School of Economics as part of the re-development of part of their campus, which includes the demolition of various buildings whilst the remaining campus remains in use.

London School of Economics are re-developing a large
part of their campus which includes the demolition of
various buildings whilst the remaining campus remains
in use. The LSE decided they wanted to limit the
maximum noise levels at a particular building façade
which is located adjacent to the main materials loading
areas of the demolition works.

AGS Noise Control, working with the LSE’s demolition
contractor, Cantillon Limited, undertook acoustic
modelling work of the site and designed an acoustic
screen to be installed off the required building façade.
The acoustic screen was supported off a scaffold
structure which provided structural support of the
screen. The screen will remain in site for the duration of
the demolition works before being dismantled and
removed from the site.
