AGS Noise Control expand with another factory in Derbyshire
AGS have expanded with the addition of a new site, this takes the company’s total up to two factories and two offices across the Midlands. The locality of the factory is at the centre of the UK, meaning AGS are perfectly placed for economical project delivery to every corner of the nation. We are also fortunate to have procured several pieces of equipment for the new space, these include –
- Press Brake – Bending & shaping materials
- MABI Bingo Machine – Cutting & processing sheet metal
- Laser Cutter – Precise & complex material cutting
- Welding Bay & Equipment – Safe space to join materials
Staff and Facilities
The bay and site are headed up by our Operations Manager, Ross. His team of seven at the site have access to the state-of-the-art machinery permitting them to produce noise control equipment of the highest quality, efficiently. There are also office facilities where design, admin, and meetings can take place.
Immediate impact
The bay has been in action for almost 6 months now and in that short time the team has mobilised fantastically. Having already been instrumental in over 7 projects, particularly noting their commitment to producing panels, doors and further parts for the Warwick Audiology Unit project which was completed on an expedited programme. This also contributed towards the team winning the ‘Cullum Group Employee of the Quarter’ in May.
The bay is also about to complete the manufacture stage for an industrial granulator acoustic enclosure. These panels and doors will be installed by our team at a recycling facility later this month to reduce intrusive industrial noise from a granulator and shredder.
The future of the bay
Currently the bay is producing more panels for an audiology room in Ireland, with more projects already scheduled including the fabrication of AGS’ products line such as their acoustic doors and A-750 audiology mini booths.
Phil Deft, General Manager at AGS, says ‘The addition of a new manufacturing facility with the latest CNC press brake and laser cutting machines, further strengthens AGS’s ability to manufacture complex noise control and acoustic systems to high accuracy levels with short lead times. Combined with state of the art design software and high skilled, directly employed site installation engineers, AGS can offer projects, large or small on budget and on time.’
